2PA Wick
In my opinion this wick is the best available for the #2 P&A lamps. The wick is custom made for this application. The weave is thicker than standard Hattersley material and a thicker wick (like the 2PA) is required for these #2 P&A lamps. Lehman’s and Imperial sell “#2 P&A” wicks but I’ve found they are too thin and the legs or ears of the wick are not the correct length. When properly installed in the lamp they only give about 1/4” of useable wick length for lighting. The Wickshop 2PA is thicker, custom sewn and has much more useable wick. I saw this difference and discussed it with Miles and the Wickshop Team and they said they designed the wick like this intentionally to improve the function in the P&A lamps. I think they did a great job.
